An escutcheon is an ornamental or protective plate that was used around a keyhole, door handle, drawer pull, light switch, etc. In this case, these beautiful antique escutcheons were used for pocket doors. We can see these adding charm to a modern pocket door, being repurposed as a little dish, or even wall art!
